Kenneth Koskela's delightful watercolors, oils, and lithographs depict whimsical scenes set in the late Victorian era, or in the late twentieth century, depending on your point of view. Kenneth is known as a watercolor painter, but in effect he is a miniaturist; each of his paintings contains an incredible amount of detail, rendered with the most delicate of brush strokes. There is always more to be seen in his paintings, even if one were to take a magnifying glass or a microscope to examine them. Kenneth began painting one summer when he was twelve years old, and went on to obtain a degree in Art. He pursued additional art studies at UCLA, the Art Student's League in New York, and the Chicago Art Institute. He has had solo exhibitions in New York, Chicago, Alexandria, VA, Mineral Point, WI and Washington, DC. He has traveled extensively, painting in Italy, Egypt, France, England, and Mexico. Currently, Koskela works out of his studio in North Carolina. His paintings and prints are widely collected, and are on display in numerous public and private collections in Europe, Africa, Australia, Russia, and in most of the fifty states
